EXPLORER PARK

Public BBQ

Explorer Park sprawls across Haynes like a wonderland for fearless kids, with towering slides, tunnels, and climbing equipment that would challenge even the most adventurous youngsters. The playground's scale is impressive, clearly designed for serious energy-burning sessions across its varied terrain. Electric barbecues and undercover seating areas make it family-friendly, though the shade could be more generous on scorching Perth days. The basketball court, cricket nets, and soccer goals add sporting variety beyond the main play area. However, there's one glaring omission that drops this from park perfection - absolutely no toilet facilities anywhere. While the little ones might manage a quick bush dash, adults are left rather stranded. The maintenance shows some neglect too, with barbecues needing attention and the water fountain playing up during my visit. Still, watching kids conquer those death-defying slides makes it worth the drive, provided you plan your bathroom breaks strategically.
